I'm Suggesting a news widget you may be interested in covering on your blog:

Widgetmate.com came up in May 2007 accidentally. We were making a News delivery widget for our website and thought that the same could be useful for a lot of people on their blogs and websites. Hence the Widgetmate News widget was born. The News widget is a web widget that gives the facility to site owners and bloggers to place customizable news widget on their respective blogs and sites. The Widget is available in many flavors and can be placed in your blog or site sidebar, header, footer or wherever you like. The biggest difference between other similar widgets is that our news widget is highly customizable and can be blended into the destination web page look and feel completely. Hence it looks like an integral part of the user’s page. The widget has been very successful till date with over 1000 regular users. The news is keyword driven and the user can select a combination of keywords for the news he or she wants on the page. One can change the color, font, size and other attributes of widget as per their requirements. All widgets are java script based and their PHP versions are also available. The widget is compatible in regular html, php pages, blogger, wordpress, typepad and pretty much any commercial or free hosting. The widget is absolutely free to use. There are no charges nor any strings attached.

Widgetmate has been covered earlier as well on some blogs. The widgetslab entry is here http://www.widgetslab.com/2007/08/03/widgetmatecom-cool-news-ticker-and-image-widgets/ . Widgetmate has been covered on the following blog posts:

http://www.nazmieski.com/2007/06/get-free-widget-news-from-widgetmate.html
http://ganaonthenet.blogspot.com/2007/10/web-widget-from-widgetmate-for-latest.html
http://complimenter.blogspot.com/2007/07/latest-news-from-widgetmate.html
http://totesprobsmaybs.blogspot.com/2007/08/news-widget-and-posters-widget-for-all.html

- Web widget from Widgetmate

I heard something about the possibility of an L5R MMORPG, perhaps net based like World of Warcraft. This would be ace as all my friends are addicted to WoW and I believe AEG could make a fortune from a humble monthly subscription. I'd pay and I'm one of those people immune to the addiction of WoW.

Although I wholeheartedly agree with L5R being Samurai dominated I believe a sourcebook / Atlas which could include amazing art, an accurate set of maps with location write ups and the Gaijin Lands would be brilliant. I feel many RPG fans want to know more and more detail about the Burning Sands, Merene, Yobanjin, Yotodai, The Ivory Kingdoms and so forth. You could even make a book on each adding in a map, some cities, and a few schools and magic. If nothing else it gives lovers of the Unicorn and Mantis places to explore and the Empire non-supernatural enemies to defend their land against.

A loyal fan since 2000

I'm feeling the same about what to play at the upcoming GenCon SoCal. No clues as to what is sufficiently Dark Horse that is catching my attention.
